National Hispanic Journalists Conference Features Dana McElroy

Best practices in newsgathering will be highlighted by Thomas & LoCicero partner.

Dana J. McElroy, partner with Thomas & LoCicero, is serving as a speaker today at the National Association of Hispanic Journalists Conference in Miami.  Ms. McElroy is presenting during a segment â€śLegal Workshop:  Newsgathering and FOIA.” 

During the workshop, Ms. McElroy will focus on what a journalist can and cannot legally do in the process of gathering the news.  She will discuss a journalist’s rights and entitlements under the Freedom of Information Act and Florida’s Sunshine Act.  She will also address responsibilities, obligations and best practices of journalists.
