New Associate Joins Legal Team in Tampa

Former legal fellow with the Brechner Center joins Thomas & LoCicero.

Thomas & LoCicero is pleased to announce that Linda R. Norbut has joined the firm’s Tampa office as an Associate.  Her practice concentration is in media and communications law, including defamation and invasion of privacy.  She also focuses on business litigation and intellectual property matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Norbut worked as a legal fellow at the Brechner Center for Freedom of Information, a nonprofit organization charged with informing lawmakers and the public on the importance of an open and transparent government.  She also previously taught media law courses to undergraduate students at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications, and she has served as a contributing editor of an Internet law textbook.

Ms. Norbut received her Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication from the University of Florida in 2011.  She subsequently received a Master of Arts in Mass Communication Law in 2013.  She graduated with honors from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2017.
