Thomas & LoCicero’s Mark Caramanica named to Advisory Council for the University of Florida’s Department of Journalism

Advisory Council members comprise a broad range of media professionals who work with and advise faculty and students on current issues within the media environment.

Mark Caramanica, a partner in the firm’s Tampa office, has been appointed to the Department of Journalism’s Advisory Council at the University of Florida. Advisory Council members comprise a broad range of media professionals who work with and advise faculty and students on current issues within the media environment.

“I am thrilled to be serving in this new role and look forward to helping the j-school continue its tradition of maintaining a strong communications law curriculum,” Caramanica said.

In conjunction with his law degree, Mark received a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from UF’s College of Journalism and Communications. He has also taught classes in media and telecommunications law at UF.

“I had some incredible mentors while a graduate student in the College and hope to be a valuable resource for current students who are interested in free press issues.”

Mark’s three-year term begins this fall.
